 The YIEDIE Youth Construction Enterprise Fund (YCEF) is open to youth applicants within the age range of 17 – 24 years with innovative Project/Business ideas strictly in the Construction Value Chain. These ideas should be implementable only within the project catchment area (Kumasi) even though some direct or indirect beneficiaries of such implemented Projects/Businesses could be scattered beyond the catchment area. The proposed Project/Business should demonstrate a great potential of providing employment for youth in the construction sector and would be assessed according to the criteria below.

Pre-qualification and ceiling: All Youth seeking this Fund should at least complete the first training session on the YIEDIE program. The cedi equivalence of support valued between US$1000 and US$1300 per Application will be awarded annually to support innovative business ideas. Fund winners have only one chance in the Project life to receive this award.

Application Forms for this Fund can be downloaded here from the Offices of Global Communities, OICG, AABN and selected TVETs from January 11, 2018. All completed Application Forms should be submitted by close of business February 10, 2018 at the office of any of our Partners listed above.

Shortlisted applicants would be given an opportunity to present their business proposals to a panel of evaluators as part of the selection process. Additionally, Field Assessment of proposed business/project sites will be carried out in the final evaluation of selected business proposals. Fund winners will be published online and at all YIEDIE training centers plus Offices of Consortium Partners.
